There will always be the debate amongst photographers as to whether a Full Frame Camera is superior to a cropped sensor camera – particularly the Micro Four Third systems, where the sensor is considerably smaller.
The saying 'A good big one, will always beat a good small one' does still have an element of truth, but with modern advances in camera technology and editing software, I am not sure the answer is quite as true as it once was.
This talk is a new updated version of my previous 'Why I Switched' talk, and in this new version I show recent images and explain why I personally think a smaller cropped sensor it's not such an issue anymore.
The main arguments against crop sensor cameras versus full frame is that in low light situations, increasing the ISO will result in images with excessive digital noise. Another argument is that with the extra depth of field with Micro Four Third cameras, it is difficult to get a blurry background. In this talk I show how it’s possible to get around these problems.
